Larry Sanford

Larry E. Sanford, age 79, a resident of Grantsburg, WI passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2023.

Larry was born on July 6, 1943 in Redwing, MN to parents Oscar and Francis Sanford.

Larry was married to his first wife, Mary from November of 1965 to May of 2004. He then married Ivy in April of 2007 and was married to her until December of 2014.

Larry was an avid outdoors man and loved hunting and fishing. He owned and ran his own mink ranch. Larry had a green thumb and enjoyed planting in his gardens. Larry worked as a logger and loved working with the young youths in his area teaching them everything he knew. Larry loved spending his free time with his family.

Larry is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; second wife, Ivy; and his parents.

He will be greatly missed by his children, David (Jan) Sanford, Jason (Melanie) Sanford and Kim (Rob) Hamann; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM (visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, WI.
