Kimberly Phernetton

Kimberly T. Phernetton, age 50, passed away January 12, 2015 at Spooner Health System. Kimberly was born on August 2, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois to Stuart and Frances (Oiyotte) Decorah. On September 10, 1998, she and Scott were married at the St. Croix Tribal Center. She was a 1982 graduate of Siren High School. Kimberly enjoyed fishing, going on bike runs, beading and attending Powwow’s. Kimberly was preceded in death by her dad Stuart; father-in-law Lloyd Phernetton; paternal grandmother Theresa; brother Lyle T. Yoder; and special aunts Ann Oiyotte and Harriet LaSarge. She will be sadly missed by her husband Scott; her daughters Katrina (Josiah Thunder) Decorah, Charisse Phernetton, Deanna (Jordan Dailey) Phernetton, Shawnee Phernetton, and Justine Phernetton; her grandchildren Josiah Thunder III and Jocelyn Thunder; brothers Mike (Marla Henseler) Decorah, Pat Decorah, and Ryan (Danielle) Decorah; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel with Anton Treuer officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 after 4:00 PM at the tribal center. Interment will be at Sand Lake Cemetery in LaFollette Township. Pallbearers will be John Lerol, Jordan Dailey, Josiah Thunder, Dean Phernetton, Gunner Spears, and Carson Funmaker. Honorary pallbearers Jordan Decorah, Brandon Geshick, Preston Decorah, Justin Decorah, Sammy Taylor, Payton Decorah, Cameron Decorah, Neil Oustigoff, Jr., and Chad Songetay Jr. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
