Kim M. Vikstrom, age 63, a resident of Webb Lake passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Kim was born on August 15, 1959 in Conway, South Carolina to Darcy and Rita Lorsung.
Kim attended the University of Minnesota-Morris, and Anoka Ramsey Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing. She spent 39 years working as a Registered Nurse, first in long term care, becoming a Director of Nursing, and then 20 years at Regina Medical Center as an ER nurse.
On September 4, 1982, she and Dan were united in marriage in New Hope, Minnesota.
Family was important to Kim, she loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren at the lake and her visits to see her mom in Texas. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and golf, and liked to have fun at work.
She was preceded in death by her father, Darcy.
She will be missed by her mom, Rita Lorsung; her husband, Daniel Vikstrom; children, Nick (Cori) Vikstrom, Brittany (Nate) Norton, Bailey (Joe) Ganske, Samantha Vikstrom (Will McKinney); her 6 grandchildren and one on the way; her siblings, Lynne (Jerry) Dahlheimer, Darcy (Becky) Lorsung, Dawn (Steve) Hill, Todd (Margot) Lorsung, Denise (Terry) Stier and Jon Lorsung; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Croix Hospice. You can make a donation by sending it to Hospice Support Foundation Att: Mary Mimay at 7755 3rd St. N. Suite 200, Oakdale, MN 55128.
