Kenneth Arthur Gilbertson Sr, 68, of Siren, WI passed away at his home Friday September 17th, 2021.
Kenneth was born in Ashland, WI. on November 23rd, 1952 where he was raised and graduated high school in 1970. He was the 7th of 8 children. He moved to Siren, WI in 1991 and worked 22 years at North States Industries as a Material Handler before retiring in February of 2013.
He spent his free watching The Milwaukee Brewers and The Green Bay Packer games with his youngest son, Jesse, spending time with his grandchildren and taking care of his beloved dogs.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Gilbertson; mother, Bernice Gilbertson (nee Kurensky); sisters, Betty Hackbarth, Shirley LaGuire, Janet Denk, and Evelyn Gilbertson.
He leaves behind Terrie Frechette (Siren, WI); four children, Kenneth Gilbertson JR. (Kari) of Parrish, FL., Brandie Lanoue (Derek) of Algonquin, IL., Ashley Drew (Joshua SR) of Washington, Iowa, and Jesse Gilbertson (Sydney) of Siren, WI.; thirteen grandchildren, Kenneth Gilbertson 3rd, Kalvin Gilbertson, Kensley Gilbertson, Kalvin Gilbertson, Harlee Drew, Riley Drew, Nashville Drew, Brentley Drew, Joshua Drew JR., Elliot Drew, Braxton Drew, Atlas Drew, and Karlee Drew; two sisters, Ardith Kurowski and Sandy Petrin; and one brother, Dennis Gilbertson.
Even though his death came as a shock to everyone he will be remembered as a man who would literally give you the shirt off his back as he touched and was cared for more he will ever know.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren.
