Karl Richard Seidel, age 77, of Siren, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014. He was born in St. Paul, MN, on May 28, 1937, a son of the late Herman K. and Lydia “Leda” (Lange) Seidel. On March 29, 1958, Karl was united in marriage to Donna Marie Facklam in Hudson, WI. Following his graduation from Northwestern Radio School in Minneapolis MN, Karl went to work for Picker X-Ray Corporation for many years and also was employed by Integrated Technology, Inc. (ITI). He also owned and operated Karl’s TV and Electronic Service in Siren. He was able to fix about anything that was electronic. He was also a very good wood worker and carpenter, a trade he learned from his father. Karl was an accomplished amateur radio operator (HAM), and is now a Silent Key ···-·- (SK). His call sign in Minnesota was WØPHZ, and in Wisconsin, W9AS. Karl loved Jesus with all his heart. He and Donna attended Siren Assembly of God. They provided adult foster care in their home from 1988 through 2012. They co-founded Rivers of Clothing Ministry, operating the ministry from 1998 to 2013. Many times a year, he would help load trailers and travel throughout the country delivering much needed clothing and supplies to churches and disaster relief organizations. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Karl is survived by his wife, Donna; children: Karl (Barbara) Seidel, Jr., David (Joan) Seidel, and Linda (Rudy) Chladil; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces,and nephews. The memorial service honoring the life of Karl Seidel will be conducted at 11:00 am (visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am), on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Siren Assembly of God with Pastor Andrew Bollant officiating.
