June Mcneal

June 8, 1924 — August 17, 2013

June B. (Barsheack) McNeal, age 89 of Webster, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2013. Her final days were spent at Countryside Acres Assisted Living Center where she was loved and impeccably cared for by the entire staff and management. June Barsheack was born June 8, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Paul Peter and Margaret (Slozis) Barsheack. She was a resident of Chicago's far Southside until her joyful union in marriage to Fremont "Pat" McNeal , at Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church in Webster, on September 4, 1953. Pat, with his parents, Leon "Mac" and Marie McNeal were the builders and original owners of the well-known Lone Pine Tavern - now "The Crowbar"- on County Trunk A in Jackson Township. June and Pat both helped out at the Lone Pine in the early years of their marriage and settled in their still-occupied home nearby on Bushey Rd. June is preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Jim, and her grandson Steven Sumner. June was the precious "Dolly" of her devoted husband, Pat, just short of 60 years. She is survived also by two loving children; her daughter, Margaret Sumner (Mike Lowe) of Chicago, and her son; Mike McNeal (Cathie) of Greenfield, Minnesota. June was adored by her five grandchildren; Laura (Denis) Dhenin of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Pamela Sumner of Chicago, Illinois, Michael (Tondi) Sumner of Minooka, Illinois, Caitlyn and Allison McNeal of Greenfield, Minnesota. She was the proud great-grandmother of four, Danielle and Matthew Sumner, and Colette and Mason Dhenin. Additional survivors include dear sister-in-laws, Marion Barshack of Webster and Leona McNeal of Hastings, Minnesota, nephews Jim (Carol) Barshack and Paul (Patty) Barshack. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday September 1, 2013 at 1pm with a service immediately following at 2pm at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin with Pastor Steve Ward officiating.
