Judith A. DeBlieck, age 75, a resident of Danbury, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
Judy was born on March 3, 1946 in Waseca, Minnesota to Richard W. and Audrey Stafford.
After living with her family in several U.S. states and in Japan, Judy attended New Richland High School, graduating in 1964. She married Dale DeBlieck in New Richland, Minnesota on July 18, 1964. Judy went on to Winona State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. She received a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Mankato State University and later earned an additional Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Winona State. She taught Special Education and worked as the Special Education Director for Byron (MN) Public Schools for over 21 years. She also served as Special Education Coordinator for the Zumbro Education District and was co-owner of the Byron Building Center with her husband Dale.
Judy and Dale retired in Colorado where she did freelance web design. Her passions included family history, computers, travelling and gardening.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Richard W. and brother, Rick Stafford.
She will be sadly missed by her mother, Audrey Stafford; her husband of 57 years, Dale; children, Barry (Wanda Hofland) DeBlieck, David (Jeffrey Bleam) DeBlieck and Michelle (Dean) Anderson; sisters, Patricia Stafford Page and Susie (Jeff) Getskow; brother, Steve (Jean) Stafford; grandson, William DeBlieck; along with other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Judy’s Life will take place on Sunday, August 15th at the Kilkare Lodge in Voyager Village (28851 Kilkare Road, Danbury, WI 54830). An Open House will start at noon with a short program at 1:00. There will also be time after the program for mingling and sharing stories. Food and beverages will be served. Any friends or family members of Judy’s are welcome to join us as we celebrate her life. The family would like any memorial donations to be made to either the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center or the St Croix Hospice location in Frederic, WI.
