Joyce Lee Linkenheil , 80, of Swiss Township, Wisconsin, died on July 23, 2017 after a long battle with Ovarian cancer. She was a strong woman and greatly loved by her family and friends. Born to William and Pearl Rupp on Sep. 20, 1936 in Adrian, MN. In her early years the family owned a farm near Adrian. Later her family moved to the south side of Adrian and operated a trucking business. Joyce married Robert Linkenheil in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Joyce and Robert also lived for 20 years in Medina, Minnesota on Lake Independence before retiring on Tabor Lake in Swiss Township. Joyce devoted her life to her many passions, including swimming, boating, water skiing, traveling, reading and crossword puzzles. Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Robert James Linkenheil; her parents, Pearl and William John Rupp; her sister Lorraine Mae Rupp; her brother, William Lloyd Rupp. Joyce is survived by her husband Robert, her sons, Ronald Linkenheil (Anna Schoettle) of Fort Collins, CO, Michael Linkenheil of Jackson Township, WI, her daughter Terri Bergstrom (James) of New Hope, MN, her daughter in-law Yvonne Linkenheil of San Diego, CA, her sister Donna Byrne of Fort Wayne, IN, her sister in-law Carol Rupp of Adrian MN, her sister in-law Louise Jean Lynch of Milford, KS. Joyce is also survived by four grandchildren, one step grandchild and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance (WOCA) In keeping with the wishes of Joyce services will be private.
