John Goepfert Jr., age 78, of Grantsburg, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017. John was born on May 22, 1938, in Grantsburg, to parents, Erma (Williamson) and John Goepfert Sr. He is survived by his wife, Reva; daughter, Lori (Michael) Firchow; son, John (Sara Handy) Goepfert; 5 grandchildren: Shawn, Paige, Marissa, Chantel and Colton; 4 great-grandchildren: Michael, Mya, Blake and Zoey; 3 brothers: Gerald (Paula), David, and Dennis (Kathy) Goepfert; 3 sisters: Leeann (Roger) Rehbein, Erma Jean (Jeannie) Goepfert, and Sandra (Jeff) Erickson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00pm (visitation from 1:00pm – 2:00pm) at the Calvary Evangelical Covenant Church in Alpha with Pastor Scott Sagle officiating.
