Joan Goranson

Joan Marie (Annen) Goranson, age 90, a resident of Siren, WI passed away on May 31, 2024.

Joan was born on August 21, 1933 in St. Paul, MN to parents Harry and Marion (Koskey) Annen.

Joan attended Mechanical Arts High School. She was crowned Homecoming Queen and graduated in 1950.
Joan worked as a food coordinator at the Siren Senior Center for many years and she was also a homemaker raising 9 boys which she enjoyed very much.

In her free time, Joan liked to paint in her younger years, she enjoyed reading books and garden. She also enjoyed going to thrift stores and garage sales. Joan had a soft heart for animals especially birds and dogs which were her favorites. Joan faithfully attended the Evangelical Church in Frederic, WI for over 30 years.

Joan is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Erickson, second husband, Dave Goranson Sr.; Joan’s sons, Paul and Dan; brother, Harry; and granddaughter, Alley.

She will be forever missed by her children, Kerry Erickson, Mike (Derrice) Erickson, Todd (Nancy) Erickson, Scott Erickson; stepsons, Dave Jr., Doug and Dwayne; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Pat (Mike) Connor; along with many nieces and nephews.

The memorial service for Joan will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM (visitation from 1-2 pm) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, WI with Pastor Steve Ward officiating.
