Jessie Allen

Jessie E. Allen, age 90, a resident of Webster died November 18, 2012. Jessie was born on June 10, 1922 in Swiss Township to David and Ethel Turner. In the 1940’s she and Lester were married in Pine City, Minnesota. During the war time Jessie worked at Brown & Bigelow Publishing Company, a distributor of promotional products and later Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant in New Brighton, Minnesota. After moving to Wisconsin she worked at Doer Electric in Siren for about 10 years. Jessie enjoyed watching game shows and reading. She was a kind, caring person who always cared for others more than herself and loved children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester; infant son Dewey; sons Grant and Earl; grandson Russell; brother Wesley and sister Marjorie. She is survived by her children Beatrice Roatch and Roy Allen; half sister Florence Pearson; along with 14 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Webster with Gary Kuhn as officiant.
