Jennifer D. Hansen, age 53, a resident of Grantsburg passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 after a complex battle with lung cancer at Region’s hospital in St. Paul with her loved ones at her side.
Jennifer was born on August 3, 1970 to James and Patricia Todd in Great Falls, Montana. She lived part of her childhood in Spokane & Seattle, Washington before moving to the Twin Cities as a teenager. She met Per Hansen, Jr. & they had 2 children, which they raised together, even after separation. They moved to Grantsburg, Wisconsin in the early 90’s where they resided until the end of their short lives.
Jennifer was employed at North States Industries in Siren for over 20 years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, canning, bear and deer hunting.
She was preceded in death by her father, James; former husband, Per Hansen, Jr.
She leaves behind her mother Patricia Todd; children Chelsie Hansen (Mike Knauber) and William Hansen (Grace Von Someren); grandchildren Kandice, Tara and Axel; brother Jason (Ellen) Todd; nephew Jackson; aunts Vistara, Lou and Lee; along with other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM at The Fox Hole - American Legion Post 185 in Grantsburg, WI.
