Jean Louise Hayek, age 73, a resident of Scott Township, passed away on August 14, 2022 at the Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner, WI.
Jean was born on October 24, 1948 in St. Paul, MN to parents John and Betty Segl.
On October 28, 1967 she married Gary, Sr. in St. Paul, MN. She worked as a Librarian for 21 years for the US Coast Guard. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Webb Lake Community Club. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty.
She will forever be missed by her husband, Gary, Sr., her sons, Gary, Jr. (Joanna) and Jack (Jessica); her grandchildren, Nicole, Zoey, Jonathan, Amber and Breanna; her brothers, Rick Segl, Bill (Carol) Segl and Charles (Marlys) Thell; her sister, Lois (David) Kelley; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM (visitation 9-10 AM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Online condolences can be made at www.swedberg-taylor.com
