Jean Hansen

September 14, 1933 — May 20, 2021

Jean was born on September 14, 1933 in Fond du Lac, WI to Edward Albert and Amelia (Ring) Henslin. God called her home on May 20, 2021 in Princeton, MN.

She graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1951. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Automotive Sales and Service in Fond du Lac for twelve years. She was married to Donald Hoffmann on October 15, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1960. She married James Hansen on May 19, 1962 in Fond du Lac, WI. They relocated to Aurora, WI shortly after they were married and remained there until they relocated to Princeton, MN in December 2018 to be closer to family. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary the day before she died.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Julie (Scott) Moller and Jackie Hansen, both of Princeton, MN, three granddaughters, Maggie (Dustin) Fischer of Clear Lake, MN, Beth Moller and Katie Moller, both of Princeton, MN, great granddaughter Fischer due August 18, 2021, her brother-in-law Doug Hoffmann, nieces Annette Bugler and Lynn Luhn (Jonathan Findley), nephew Steven (Laurie) Prink, two great nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her four year old daughter Jodi Lyn Hansen, two sisters, Gloria Prink and Judy Hoffmann, her brother-in-law Wayne Prink and her niece Nancy Hoffmann.

Jean was a wonderful wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother and caring friend. She loved the Lord and was a prayer warrior. She was a trustworthy confidante and listening ear. She loved to send cards for every occasion. She wrote a weekly letter to each of her granddaughters while they were in college, often enclosing a comic strip that had made her laugh. She was a quiet lady but showed her sharp wit and great sense of humor to those who knew her best. She loved a great book, a good cup of coffee, the perfect slice of pizza, and spending time with her family. She found joy in the little things. She loved to be the first to see a robin in the spring, she always paused to admire beautiful flowers and had a very green thumb, and she loved the bright reds and oranges of fall colors. Memories of her gentle spirit, compassion for others, and positive love of life will be treasured by all who knew her.

According to her wishes, she was laid to rest in Aurora-Homestead Cemetery in a private graveside service on May 26, 2021. There was a memorial service to celebrate her life and heavenly home going on June 5, 2021 at Berean Christian Fellowship in Zimmerman, MN.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for His appearing." II Timothy 4: 7,8.
