Janette Anderson

Janette “Jan” E. Anderson, age 98, a resident of Grantsburg passed away on March 11, 2024.

Jan was born on March 19, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN to Maurice H. and Eleanora I. Burgess.

She married Ernest Anderson on July 2, 1955 in Minneapolis.

Jan was politically minded and liked to keep up on current events. She was a great volunteer helping children at school and at the Larsen Library with their reading. She was an active volunteer and member at New Hope Lutheran Church. She enjoyed listening to music, knitting and loved animals.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; daughter, Wanda; her parents; brothers, Harvey, Norman, Jerome and Murray; sister, Audrey and her beloved 4 legged friend, Sammy.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Jerilyn (Dennis); her grandchildren, Sherry Price, Tanya Flint, Artie Countryman, Timothy Countryman, Jennifer Oosterhouse, Tracey Hamlet, Gary Bell and David Bell; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2 PM) at New Hope Lutheran Church in Grantsburg with Pastor Emory Johnson officiating.
