James George Glover of Grantsburg passed away on December 13, 2013 at the age of 75 years. James was born August 31, 1938 to Grace (Bassett) and James K. Glover in Fairmont, Minnesota, but moved to Siren area when Jim was three. Jim married Joyce McKinley on June 24, 1961 at the Siren Methodist Church. To this union six children were born. They moved to Trade Lake in 1962 where they did dairy farming for 25 years. Jim, Joyce and children sang with the Roger Danielson family, putting on many church musical programs. Singing was a life-long passion of Jim's, including Indianhead Chorus, barbershop quartets, school musicals, wedding and funerals. Jim will also be remembered as Grandpa Jim to all the kids who loved his petting zoos. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Janyce, brothers; Layre and Lonny and son-in-law, Frank Kraemer. He will be sadly missed by his children; Jodi (John Timmermann) Kraemer, Jerilyn (Tom) Schaffhausen, JD (Carolyn) Glover, Jeffrey Glover, Jon Glover, Joel (Jill) Glover and Brian (Suzanne) Hoefs; 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives, friends, and numerous others who needed someone to care. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2013, from 5pm-9pm at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg. Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2pm. (visitation from 1-2) at Calvary Covenant Church in Alpha, Wisconsin with Rev. Diane Brask officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg.
