James Dittmar

September 8, 1946 — April 25, 2013

James C. Dittmar Sr. of Webster passed away Thursday April 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born September 8, 1946 in Young America, Minnesota to Raymond and Lorrain Dittmar. He was the 4th of 9 children. Jim grew up in Young America, Minnesota where he attended St. John's Lutheran School. On December 20th, 1969, he married Kathleen Miller. They lived in Young America until 1973 and then moved to Siren, Wisconsin and eventually to Webster, Wisconsin. Jim worked as a carpenter and worked construction for Harvestor Silo Company. He was also employed by Green Giant and spent time as a Youth Counselor from 1981-1999. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, crafts and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed telling stories, was known as a practical joker and had a great sense of humor. Jim spent many hours at the Moon Glow in Webster where he sat at the round table visiting and gossiping with his friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dennis and Rodney; sisters Diane and Susan. Jim leaves to celebrate his memory, his wife Kathy; his daughters Heidi (Mark) Dumas, Heather (Clint) Bonniwell; son James, Jr. (Tammy); his grandchildren; Forest, Joseph, Andrea, Caleb and Samuel; his brother Jeff and sisters Janice, Patty and Debbie; along with his uncle Lyle and Aunt Claudette; many nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and dear friends Danny and Annie. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM (visitation 10-11AM) at Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home in Webster with Pastor Freddy Kirk officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Webster Community Center. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Webster. Online condolences can be made at www.swedberg-taylor.com
