Ivan Robert Cadotte , age 94, of Danbury, WI., passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his residence. Ivan was born on June 18, 1922 in Apple River, WI., to parents, Hattie (Cloud) and Charles Cadotte. He attended Catholic School in Hayward, WI. In 1948, Ivan married Dolores Waller and together they had four children. Ivan worked as a self-employed truck driver for many years. Ivan loved Old Country Western music. He enjoyed being outdoors, bird watching, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his many years spent traveling on the road. For the last year of Ivan’s life, he had been living with his niece, Sharalanee Staples, who served as his caregiver in her home on Crescent Lake in Scott Township. He truly loved his time spent with her and his views of the lake from his chair. Ivan will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him. Preceding Ivan in death are his parents; wife, Dolores; children: Sandra, Claudia and Michael; granddaughter, Acadia; sister, Jessie Lunsman; half-brother, John Cadotte; half-sisters: Helen Beabault, Dolly DeRosier, Bernice Springer and Martha Heinz. Ivan is survived by his son, Rob (Lisa) Cadotte; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Stella Abbott, Eva Connor and Bernice Tourtillotte; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The visitation for Ivan will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5-7:00pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, WI. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00am at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, WI., with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Interment will be held at the Danbury Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers are Dennis Staples, Perry Staples, Ron Staples, Kelly Staples, Rob Cadotte, Charles Cadotte and Justice Gutting. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, WI.
