Irene Gluheisen

Irene E. Gluheisen, age 71, a resident of Webster died December 16, 2008 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Irene was born on February 11, 1937 in Oakland Township to August and Esther Holmberg. Irene married Jerry on August 16, 1958 at Grace United Methodist Church in Webster. Irene worked at Nelson's Store in Siren and Door Electric. She enjoyed cooking, making crafts, ice fishing, and salmon fishing. She loved being around her family and grandchildren and took time for picnics and camping. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Albert and George, sisters Marie and Alice, grandson Conor. Irene is survived by her husband Jerry, children Karen (Gary) Knafla, Laura (Mike) McLaughlin, Linda (Brad) Spafford, Jeff (Jeanann) Gluheisen, brother Lloyd Holmberg, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Memorial services were held Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Cindy Glocke officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
