Ione Spafford

Ione Marie Spafford, age 82, a resident of Webster died August 8, 2009 at Burnett County Medical Center. Ione was born on January 17, 1927 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Manuel and Esther Erickson. She married Elroy Spafford on January 1, 1949 in Pine City, Minnesota. Ione enjoyed senior bowling in Spooner, camping, hunting, fishing and was known for baking chocolate chip cookies and pies. She owned and operated "The Narrows" with her husband from 1982-1995. Ione was preceded in death by her huband Elroy and 2-half brothers Wilford and Bernard She is survived by her; children Steve (Maria) Spafford of Webster, Wisconsin, Richard (Lois) Spafford of Bartlett, lllonois, Scott (Jeanene) Spafford of Belvidere, Illonios, grandchildren Suzanne, David, Matthew, Erik, Kara, Alex, and great-granddaugher Elizabeth. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral home in Webster with Paster Steve Ward officiating. Interment followed at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wisconsin, next to her husband. Arrangements are entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin.
