Illa Hope Baustian Snow was born in Luverne, Minnesota on August 26, 1920. The oldest of six children born to Rose and Rudy Baustian. She passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Burnett Continuing Care Center (BCCC) in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Illa moved with her family to Illinois, and then to Burnett County in Wisconsin where she attended Siren, Krueger and Webster Grade Schools., For 71 years her home was with her parents, living for some years in Gordon, Wisconsin; Circle Pines, Minnesota and Forney, Texas, returning to Burnett County in 1982. In 1994 Illa married Lloyd Elmer Snow at the Webster Baptist Church, and the couple lived in Webster until Lloyds death in 2001. For the final decade of her life, BCCC was her home. Illa was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Baustian and sister-in-law Irene (Thyberg) Baustian; and brothers-in-law Lawrence (Larry) Kringle and Robert (bob) Buttenhoff; niece Gretchen Rose Buttenhoff; grand nephew Bjork Kringle; and grand niece Melissa Baustian. Illa is survived by her siblings; Marian Kringle, Norma Buttenhoff, Russell and Beverly Baustian, and Dorothy and Douglas Chapman; sister in law Shirley (Rogers) Baustian; 18 nieces and nephews; 39 grand nieces and nephews; and 26 great grand nieces and nephews; her aunt, Helen Clauson and many cousins. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Webster, Wisconsin on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00am with visitation an hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to be directed to the First Baptist Church in Webster, Wisconsin or to the charity of choice.
