Howard Krueger

Howard T. Krueger “Howie”, age 87, of Danbury, WI passed away on February 27, 2017. Howie was born on November 22, 1929 in Glenwood City, WI to parents Ida (Wilson) and Hugo Krueger. Howie was united in marriage to Vera Anderson on June 9, 1951 at the German Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI. To this union, two children were born, Garold and Vickie. Howie served in the United States Army on October 23, 1951 during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on July 22, 1953. Howie was employed by Anderson Windows Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and his Green Bay Packers. Howie was a member of the Snowmobile Wonderland Trails club and the Dairyland Antique Car Club with his five antique cars. He was also a member of the VFW in Hudson and the Webster American Legion. Preceding Howie in death are his parents; 2 brothers, Herbert Krueger and Harold Krueger; and 1 sister, Emily Jeske. Howie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Vera; children, Garold Krueger and Vickie (John) Elkin; grandchildren: Kristia (Jay) Meyers, Tiffany Krueger (Jon Blazevic), Kyle Elkin and Kaylynn Elkin. The Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 4-7:00pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:00pm (visitation from 12-1:00pm) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Webster, WI with Pastor Jody Walters officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, WI. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
