Harriet Nyman

Harriet Lea Nyman, age 84, of Siren, WI passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home with her husband of 66 years by her side. Harriet was born on August 9, 1933 in Siren, WI to parents, Harry Hayward and Emma Bertha (Rissman) Sanders. Harriet married James B. “Jim” Nyman on April 16, 1951 in Pine City, MN. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Harriet was a lifelong homemaker and she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed boating, swimming, camping, fishing and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Harriet is survived by her husband, Jim Nyman, Siren, WI; children, Karen (Dennis) Dervetski, Cameron, WI, James (Terri) Nyman, Black River Falls, WI, Russell Nyman, Webster, WI; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Smith, Minneapolis, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margorie, Angeline, Wanetta; and many brother-in-law’s. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. A luncheon to follow at Nick’s Family Restaurant in Spooner, WI.
