Harold Babcock

Harold Loren Babcock Harold L. Babcock, age 91, a resident of Danbury, Wisconsin died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at his residence. Harold was born November 28, 1916 in Webster, Wisconsin to Herman and Olga Babcock. Harold graduated from Cloverton High School. Harold was a World War II veteran and a prisoner of war. Harold married Nancy Garbe on May 28, 1964 in Dubuque, Iowa. Harold worked for Pine County Highway Department for over 27 years, retiring in 1981. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and fly fishing. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, son Harold Jr., brother Jack and sisters Esther ("Mike") and Opal ("Nikki"). Harold is survived by his wife Nancy, son Curtis D. (Linda) Babcock of Danbury, Wisconsin, brother Melvin (Irene) Babcock on Stanchfield, Minnesota, sister Roselyn (Leonard) Haas of Spooner, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Lois Babcock of Sandstone, Minnesota, grandchildren Charisse, Haley, Nycole and Curtis Jr. (CJ). Memorial services were held Friday, May 9, 2008 at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Cindy Glocke officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin.
