Grace Imme

On Thursday January 2nd, 2025 Grace Marie Imme left this world at the age of 93 surrounded by the love of family members.

Grace was born on July 10 1931 to John & Elsie Anderson in the town of Lorain. She was the 5th of 6 children. Grace graduated 8th grade from the Indian Creek School on May 31, 1945. She had many jobs, she worked at Doerr Electric and Fabritech in Amery, WI; she was a seasonal worker at the Cranberry Marsh in Hertel, WI; and a seasonal worker at Stokleys in Frederic, WI; and a housekeeper at Pinewood Motel in Siren, WI.

She married Alva Baker on May 19, 1949 through that marriage 3 daughters were born, Linda, Judy, and Gale. Then on October 28, 1968 she started a new chapter in her life when she married Donald Imme and gained 6 step kids Bruce, Denise, Jody, Marilyn, Peggy, and Polly. They all lived in a small farmhouse together. Years later after raising 9 kids she moved into a small apartment in town. Grace built new friendships there and for the last 7 years with the help of her granddaughter Rachael Simon, she was able to stay there. Whether she was living at the farm or in the apartment, she loved spending time gardening and caring for her flowers, crocheting, embroidering, and watching her favorite soap opera "The Young & The Restless". She was always baking cookies and breads even at 93. She seemed to always have something for you to eat when you should stop by to visit.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, John & Elsie Anderson, husbands Donald Imme and Alva Baker, Brothers Donald Anderson (Ina Mae), Robert Anderson (Esther), and George Anderson (Eunice), And sisters Ella Brunclik (Ormie), Mary Peterson (Warren) and Grandson Christopher Olson.

She will be dearly missed by her kids Linda Hill (Chuck), Judy McNitt (Tim), Gale Olson (Scott), and step Kids Bruce Imme, Denise Magnuson (Lonnie), Jody Imme (Susie), Marilyn Hughes (Larry), Peggy Moore, and Polly Imme (Greg). Her grandchildren Chuck Hill Jr (Karen), Vicky Myren (Jeff), Kristy Brown (Eric), Cheryl Baker (Paul), Laurie VanHoof (Chris), Brad Hokanson (Cameo), Jamie Olson, and Rachael Simon (Chad), Erik Imme (Casey), Adam Imme (Nicole), Melanie Hildebrandt (David),Shane Magnuson(Laura), Jeremy Magnuson(Jill), Josh Imme(Amy), Justin Imme, Sarah Danielson (Cole), Al Moore (Ashley), Amber Moore, Jaida Moore; along with 46 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Grace will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM (visitation 9-11AM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Interment will follow at Lorain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christian Brown, Gunner Imme, Carson Simon, Isaiah Simon, Leigha Priske-Olson, Casey Brown, Ben Magnuson and Talon Imme.
