Gloria Jacobson

Gloria Mae Jacobson, age 75, a resident of Siren died August 2, 2014. Gloria was born January 19, 1939 in Mille Lacs, Minnesota to Orrie and Margaret (Vanderpohl) Hornstein. She married John Jacobson on May 19, 1956 in Woodville, Wisconsin. Gloria was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Indian Creek, and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and bird watching. Gloria loved to travel to the North Shore to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; and husband John. She is survived by her children Robin (Eddie) Cycenas, Debbie (Nick Neisen) Anderson, John (Roxie) Jacobson, Dawn (Stan) Miller, and Alan (Vashti) Jacobson; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, August 4, 2014 from 5-7PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11AM (visitation from 10-11AM) at Bethany Lutheran Church, Siren with Pastor Paul Peterson officiating.
