Glenda Scanlon

Glenda Rae Scanlon, age 72, of Hertel, Wisconsin passed away on November 18, 2015. Glenda was born on April 6, 1943 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to parents Darline and Marvin Powell. Glenda was the youngest of six children. She attended and graduated in 1961 from the Sunshine Bible Academy in Miller, South Dakota. Shortly after, Glenda left college with her life – long love, William. They were united in marriage, as they are now united in death, on October 3, 1961 in Waukegan, Illinois. Glenda will be remembered for the love she had for her grandchildren. Her fondest memories were those spent with her grandchildren and her vacation time spent in South Dakota. Glenda is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William; her parents; brother, Steven; sister, Ardyce; brothers-in-law, Jim Anderson, Dan Scanlon and Jim Scanlon. Glenda is survived by her sons, William Scanlon Jr. and Martin (Jennifer) Scanlon; daughter, Terri Scanlon; sisters, Karen (Arno) Erickson and Corale Anderson; brother, Charles Nollcsh; grandchildren, Lea, Laura, William, Felicia, Katlyn, Christy and Maria; great-grandchildren, Kathrine, Sierra, Alea, Khristian, Lakota, Phoenix, Samantha and Ariel; special friend, Shirley Scanlon; and many other relative and friends.
