Gerald Johnson

Gerald "Jerry" Bruce Johnson, age 71, a resident of Shell Lake, WI passed away at home with his loved ones by his side on Monday, December 26, 2022.

Jerry was born on December 5, 1951 in Shell Lake, WI to parents Martin Johnson Sr. and Irene Taylor.

Jerry enlisted into the US Army in 1971 and served until 1977.

Jerry worked for the St. Croix Tribal Housing for several years.

In Jerrys free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid Vikings fan and loved to watch football.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence and Robert; grandchildren, Phoniex and Aurora.

He is survived by his wife Julie, children, Sarah Miller, Jessica Johnson, Angela Johnson, and Vanessa Johnson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Martin (Val) Johnson Jr., Phillip Johnson and Eugene (Ann) Johnson; sisters, Betty Johnson, Karen Bluegill, Valarie (Randy) Phernetton and Wanda McFaggen; along with many friends.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 after 4:00 PM at St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel with Louis Taylor officiating. Interment and Military Honors will follow at Sand Lake Cemetery with pallbearers Rob Phernetton, Cj Phernetton, Jerry Krear, Isaiah Johnson, Raymond Merrill and Brent Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Phernetton, James Darwin, Jack McFaggen, Robin Johnson, Martin Johnson III and Lawrence Johnson Jr.
