Gerald Besse

Gerald E. “Jerry” Besse Jr., age 68, of Shell Lake, WI, passed away, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 23, 1947 in Shell Lake, the son of Gerald and Florence (Shellito) Besse. Jerry is survived by his children: Wendy Besse (Dustin Klopp) of Shell Lake; David (Kelsey) Besse of Eagan MN, and grandchildren: Breanna, Aspen, and Logan. Also surviving are his sisters: Sandy (Julius) Portalatin of Sarasota FL, and Susan (Danny) Sutton of Shell Lake; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Graveside Committal service with military honors will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, with Pastor John Sahlstrom officiating. Luncheon will be served in Jerry’s memory at Peggy’s Restaurant in Shell Lake immediately following the interment.
