George M. Radke 1933-2020
George Radke was born on May 5, 1933 at home in Webster, Wisconsin to Roy and Jennie (Hayden) Radke. He passed away at home on December 14, 2020 after a battle with dementia.
In January of 1958 he met his wife Lorraine Jean Ulrich, and they were married on April 16, 1958 in Pine City, Minnesota.
George worked in road construction for many years and at Penta Wood Products. He served in the Army for 2 years.
He enjoyed his deer hunting in his earlier years and loved fishing, giving away a lot to friends and putting on his famous fish fry’s. He had a great knack for doing woodwork, making, and giving away bird houses, clocks, eagles and more. He and his wife had their home built in 1972 on the property he was born on. George was a past member of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department and Second Alarm.
He is survived by his wife; Lorraine Jean, son; Carl and wife Sue, granddaughter; Michelle Radke, nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; Roy and Jennie, sister; Margaret Asp and 5 children in infancy. He will be buried at the Town of Jackson Cemetery next to his “girls”.
