George Mataxen

George Mataxen (Baadwiida Chiiawaysii) , age 58, of Mineola, Texas died July 11, 2014. George was born August 22,1955 in Siren, Wisconsin to Basil and Myna (Wood) Mataxen. He married Patti July 27,1996 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. George was a welder for Amusement Ride Mfg. in Witcha, Kansas, Taxi Driver in Kansas City, Kansas and he was a Pool Hustler for many years. George is survived by his wife, Patti, daughters Tammi and Teresa; brothers, Basil (Sue) Matoxen, Mark (Shirley) Gill; sisters, Joanne Heart, Barb Heart and Karen Bluegill; and grandchildren; Elizabeth, Joseph, Zachary, Matax, Tripp, Gyllian, Katylan, Isbella and Gabby. He was Proceeded in death by his Foster parents, Albert and Virginia Gill; and sister, Shirley. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 after 4:00 PM at the St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the tribal center. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Webster.
