George Holmes

George Joseph Holmes, age 33, of Danbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2014.  George was born in Grantsburg on June 8, 1980, son of Cary Ann (Bahr) and Robert Paul Holmes. He has held a variety of jobs in the area including being a cook and working in auto salvage. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and harvesting wild rice.  George is survived by his father, Robert P. Holmes; his mother, Cary Ann Bahr Kinzler; his children; Jonathan Holmes age 7, George Holmes Jr. age 4, Bella Holmes age 3. His special friend, Jenn Towle; sisters: Sunshine Crowe; Sara Baker, Rachel Holmes and a brother, Donald Holmes; paternal grandmother, Ruth Holmes; maternal grandmother, Mary Bahr; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Holmes; and his maternal grandfather, Frank Bahr.  Friends may call after 4pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Danbury Tribal Hall.   Funeral services for will be conducted at the Danbury Tribal Hall on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00am with Francis Songetay officiating and Michael Taylor assisting. Pallbearers will be Victor Lunsman, Joe Matrious Jr., Larry Lunsman, William Holmes, Jake Holmes and Jack Holmes.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Webster, WI.
