Frederick Davis

Frederick Paul Davis, 84 of Markville, MN peacefully passed the morning of May 27, 2021, at Burnett Medical Center Continuing Care Center. Where he was surrounded by his favorite nurses.

Fred was born on April 20, 1937, in Britton, SD to Paul and Katie Davis.

Fred grew up in Sisseton, SD; served 4 years in the Army after graduating High School. He married the love of his life, Cordelia on January 8, 1962. Fred and Cordelia moved to Minnesota in the 60’s with their 2 children to build a life with his family. They lived in Blaine, MN until Fred retired then they moved to Markville, MN. Fred was a Machine Electronics Assembler up until he retired. He was also a fantastic handyman, if there was something to build or tinker with, he was the first one there. His last big building job was with his son Paul, building our 34 x 64 garage together. What a fantastic job they did, so many memories each time we walk into the garage.

Fred’s passion was stock car racing, hunting, and fishing with his son and grandsons. He joined AA 47 years ago. Fred went to all the Arna township meetings faithfully. That is where he met many wonderful people in the community.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Katie; sisters, Rose, Jackie, Pauleen; son-in-law, Paul Reider.

He is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Cordelia; daughter, Eileen Reider; son, Paul (Angela) Davis; grandchildren, Jake Davis, Coree (Autumn) Davis, Louise (Ben) Weis, Elaine Wittenburg, Gloria Wittenburg; great grandchildren, Zoey Davis, Kaden Davis, Meredith Weis; and many relatives and friends.

In loving memory of Frederick Davis, he will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 31, 2021, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Arna Town Hall in Markville, MN: 50130 1st Ave. Sandstone, MN 55072.
