Frank Anthony (Butch) Zurek of Webb Lake, WI formerly of West St. Paul, MN lost his courageous battle with cancer on February 5, 2017, in Brownsville, Texas. He was 66. Frank was born on September 2, 1950 in St. Paul, MN. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irene (nee Petranton) Zurek. He will be missed by his loving partner, Joan White, step-son, Will Kearney and his daughter, Madeline, sister, Therese (Jim) Jasper, niece, Mollie Miller (John), nephews, Mark, Charlie (Cheryl), and a wealth of loving and caring friends. Also left to carry on Frank's legacy is Amber Nielsen and her family. Their great love proves that family is more than blood or titles and their kindness will never be forgotten. The world has rarely known a storyteller like Frank. His tales of grand adventures have entertained and educated generations of friends and family. Frank never met a stranger and most enjoyed being surrounded by those who made him smile, sharing stories, singing, strumming his guitar, and playing pool. Frank's kindness, gentleness, creativity, and quick wit were unmatched and will be missed greatly by those who were blessed to share his journey. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 AM (visitation 10-11 AM) Saturday, May 20, at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church 28460 County Road H, Webster, WI. A private graveside service will follow. A celebration of Frank's life will follow the service. The reception will take place at Gliders Bar and Grill, Webb Lake, WI.
