Frank Joseph Peach, Sr., age 77, of Oakland Twp., Burnett County, WI, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, February 21, 2015. Frank was born in Milaca, Minnesota, on September 18, 1937, a son of the late Frank and Signe (Bergsto) Peach. He was a 1955 graduate of Milaca High School, and then attended Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. Frank married Darlene D. Sommerfeld in Rochester, MN, on December 31, 1971. He was employed by General Motors Corp. for 38 years, retiring in 1996. He was a very good auto mechanic, operating his own auto service garage for many years. He greatly enjoyed fishing on area lakes all year round, including ice fishing, especially with his children and grandchildren. Frank looked forward to the annual fishing trips to Canada with his coworkers. He also liked hunting whitetail deer. Frank was a hard working, amiable, and soft spoken man with a unique sense of humor. He was very well liked by coworkers and acquaintances, and made friends easily, many of which are friends for life. He had a forgiving spirit and a strong commitment to family, friends, and his job. Frank loved his children and grandchildren very, very much. Surviving are his dear friend, Darlene; four children: Jeffery Scott (Laurie) Peach, Kay Lynette Peach, Stacy Lynn Daniels, and Frank Joseph Peach, Jr.(twin); four grandchildren: Daniel Lee Peach, Anthony John Peach, Anna Lynn Peach, and Alex John Peach; and a great-grandchild, Keara Lynnette Peach. Frank is also survived by siblings: Mary Ann Hutchins, Susan (Tom) Bloomquist, David Peach, Laura (Dan) Erickson, and Gretchen Marquard; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a son, John Howard Peach (twin). In keeping with Frank’s wishes, there will not be a formal service.
