Evelyn Peterson

Evelyn (Evie) Marie Peterson was born June 27, 1909 in Maywood Township, MN. She was the daughter of Andrew and Ellen Wager. Evie attended school at 33 North grade school in Oak Park and Tech High School and Business College in St. Cloud, MN. Evie was married to Kermit Peterson on September 24, 1939. They lived a full life together in Wisconsin, Arizona, Wyoming and Alexandria, MN which is where Evie passed away living at Bonnie's Senior Haven. Evie passed away on November 27, 2010 and she was 101 years young. She loved getting together with her family for Swedish meals and especially the Dumpling parties. Evie was an excellent seamstress, birdwatcher, baker, writer and always a good listener. She loved a good story and was good natured and patient and kind to everyone she met. Evie was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit and sisters; Eunice and Lorraine; and one brother; Donald. She is survived and will be missed by her brother, Edsel and his wife, Carol and by many nieces and nephews and many friends. A Memorial service for Evelyn will be held at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, WI on Saturday, December 4. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and a service at 11:00 am. She will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Webster, WI. Thanks to everyone at Bonnie's Senior Haven and Douglas County Hospice for Evie's gentle care.
