Elizabeth A. Johnson, age 89, a resident of St. Croix Falls passed away on February 13, 2021.
Elizabeth was born on March 31, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Herbert and Elizabeth Colvin.
Elizabeth married the love of her life Larry (Bud) Johnson on November 18, 1950 in Frederic, Wisconsin.
Elizabeth worked for the Yo-yo and Bean Factory in Frederic, North states Wood Products, and also in home health care until she was 70 years old.
She was an excellent seamstress and loved knitting and crocheting. Her biggest pride was her paintings, she was a brilliant artist. Elizabeth had a green thumb and could grow beautiful gardens and loved house plants.
Elizabeth enjoyed her many walks with her longtime friend Jean Marion.
Elizabeth was a devoted Christian, saved by the Grace in 1981, she loved the lord. One of her favorite passages was Psalm 34:8, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; “blessed is the man that trusts in him.”
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry (Bud) Johnson; her parents; brothers, Herbert Colvin, John Colvin; and great grandson, Tyle J. Molamphy.
She is survived by her children, Steven L. Johnson (Debra Wright), Connie Virchow, Michael (Linda) Johnson, Mary (Lee) Rhodes; sister, Dorothy Simons; grandchildren, Jay Johnson (Molly Irish), Matthew (Rheanna) Johnson, Christopher (Kiersten) Johnson, Daniel Johnson (Ive Franks), Heidi Hakseth (Jody Moody), Olivia (Marc) Hunter, Josh (Brenda) Johnson, Sonja (Rick) Benavidez, Danielle Johnson, Raven (David) Manta, Mike Rhodes, Pamela Rhodes; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Elizabeth will be missed by family, many relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held June 13, 2021 at the Crooked Lake Park in Siren from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
