Eleanor Gloria Jones, age 97, a resident of Duluth, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Eleanor was born on December 5, 1924 in Edinburg, North Dakota to parents Andrew Tillberg and Cora Folson.
Eleanor graduated from Anoka Technical College as an LPN. She worked at the Grantsburg Hospital up until she retired.
Eleanor was an avid gardener, baker and crafter.
Eleanor leaves behind her son, Lonnie D. Jones; daughter, Doreen K. (Roy A.) Merritt; granddaughter, Angela M. Jones; grandson, Brian R. (Michelle) Jones; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the St. Luke’s Hospice and Diamond Willow Assisted Living of Lester Park for the love and care they offered to Eleanor.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
