Elaine Tjader

Elaine G. Tjader, age 84, a resident of Siren died May 21, 2009 at St. Croix Valley Regional Medical Center. Elaine was born on September 23, 1924 in Denham, Minnesota to George and Eleanor Koloski. Elaine married William Tjader on June 2, 1945. To this union five sons were born, Mike, Tim, Steve, Dennis, and Paul. Elaine enjoyed being outdoors and traveling. She was known for her excellent cooking. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill on December 27, 2003, brothers George and Rapheal, and sister Christine. Elaine is survived by her sons Mike (Carleen) of New Richmond, Tim (Donna) Tjader of Siren, Steve (Bonnie) of Siren, Dennis (Bonnie) of Siren, and Paul (Val) of River Falls, 12 grandchildren Michele (Tom), Melissa (Scott), Mark, Ryan, Bethany, Reid, Jonathan, Amanda, Evan, Ethan, Aidan, Logan, great grandchildren Jordan, Zachary, Micah, Ayla and Lara; sister-in-laws Gerlyn, Doris Koslowski and Della Tjader, brother-in-law Ancel Highstrom, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Siren Covenant Church with Pastor David Guertin officiating. Music was provided by Joan, Adam, Dayna and Courtney Daniels, Sarah Allan and Nancy Daniels. Interment followed at Mudhen Lake Cemetery in Daniels Township, Wisconsin. Casketbearers were Michele Tjader, Melissa Corbo, Mark Tjader, Ryan Tjader, Bethany Tjader, Reid Tjader, Jonathan Tjader, and Amanda Tjader. Honorary casketbearers were Evan Tjader, Logan Tjader, Ethan Tjader, and Aidan Tjader. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren, Wisconsin.
