Elaine Olson

Elaine Kathleen Olson , age 82, of Webster, WI., passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on May 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI., after a brief illness. Elaine was born on April 26, 1935 in Grantsburg, WI., to Elwood and Evangeline Olson. She attended Freya Grade School and then Grantsburg High School, graduating in 1953. Upon graduation, she began working for Judge Christiansen. Shortly thereafter, she became deputy Registrar of Deeds and ultimately Registrar of Deeds, a position she held for approximately 40 years. After retirement, she faithfully and tenderly cared for her parents until their death in 1993 and 2007. Elaine was known by many for her acts of kindness, her generosity and compassion. She loved flowers, baking cookies, having coffee and visiting with friends. She did her good deeds quietly with no fanfare. She had great faith in the Lord and her life reflected this. Her door was always open and a pot of coffee always ready. She will be missed by so many people who considered her a trusted and loyal friend. She leaves to mourn 1 sister, Phyllis of Marshfield, WI.; many cousins; numerous friends; her beloved dog, Trixie; and the neighborhood hummingbirds that would frequent her yard. The Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4-7:00pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00pm (visitation from 12-1:00pm) at the Calvary Covenant Church in Alpha, WI., with Pastor Scott Sagle officiating.
