Edwin Benjamin

Edwin Albert Benjamin "Monidoogwesance", age 89, a resident of Danbury, WI passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2022 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Ed was born on March 30, 1933 in Lake Lena, MN to parents George and Mary (Churchill) Benjamin.

Ed worked for Honeywell for 47 years.

He married the love of his life, Christina on December 20, 1952 in Pine City, MN. Together they raised 6 children.
Ed enjoyed his sports such as softball, football and baseball. He also enjoyed playing pool and playing the slot machines at the casinos. Ed loved listening to country music and dancing with his wife Christina.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary; sisters, Delphine, Evelyn and Deloris; brothers, Marvin and Bernard; and granddaughter, Savanna.

He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 69 years, Christina; children, Romona Reyes, Gloria Benjamin, Ed (Pat) Benjamin Jr., Roberta Benjamin, Tracy Benjamin, Kelly (Louis) Benjamin-Mackyol and Michael Benjamin; sister, Gerldine Defoe; brothers, Richard Benjamin, Delbert Benjamin and Robert Benjamin; 22 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call on Friday, November 11, 2022 after 4:00 PM at the Danbury Tribal Hall. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Lee Staples officiating. Interment will follow at the Danbury Cemetery with pallbearers Loren Benjamin, John Bearhart, Ryan Benjamin, Lance Benjamin, Manuel Reyes and Orrin Reyes Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Benjamin, Aaron Benjamin, Edward G. Benjamin, Ronald Bearhart, Gary Bearhart Jr, Kelly Benjamin-Mackyol, Christina Bearhart, Lori Benjamin, June Reyes and Karl Matrious Jr.
