Edna Canfield

Edna Mae (Merrill) Canfield, age 79 years, of Webster, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. Edna was born on June 13, 1934 in Ladysmith, WI, the only child of Howard F. and Katherine L. (Newhouse) Merrill. She was a 1952 graduate of Ladysmith High School. On March 4, 1955, Edna married Marvin Lyle Canfield in Chicago, IL. In 1965, they moved to Lexington (New Brighton), MN, and lived there over 20 years. They moved to Webster in the late 1980s following Marvin’s retirement. Marvin passed away January 21, 1998. Edna was an avid reader, and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Katherine Merrill; and her husband, Marvin Canfield. Surviving are three children: Daniel (Linda) Canfield; Suzanna (Dean) Eytcheson; and Patricia Blatt; six grandchildren: Brandon (Emily) Eytcheson, Jerome Blatt, Breck (Ashley) Eytcheson, Mike Blatt, and Dustin Musil and Lenny Musil; seven great-grandchildren: Olivia B., Brenden, Ella, Tristen, Olivia E., Gage, and Harper.
