Douglas Mattson

Douglas “Doug” Anthony Mattson, age 62, a resident of Siren, WI passed away on August 13, 2023 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Doug was born on May 12, 1961 at St. Barnabas Hospital in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Doug graduated from Edison High School. He proposed to Cynthia Powell over a candlelight dinner, they were married in 1996 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren. Two years later they were blessed with a son, Douglas James who gave us great joy and pride.

Throughout the years, we enjoyed camping, dancing, visiting different vineyards and loved going to music in the park, along with big garage sales and auctions. Family was important and Doug enjoyed spending quality time with his family and helping others when in need.

Doug is survived by his wife, Cynthia; son, Douglas James; sister, Denise Mattson; brother, Donny Mattson; his god children, Katie Breedens and Cheyenne Johnson.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM (visitation 10-11 AM) at Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Online condolences can be made at www.swedberg-taylor.com
