Dennis Flavin

Dennis "Denny" Flavin, age 72, of Webster, WI and formerly of Bloomington, MN passed away on February 11, 2013 at his home. Denny was born on September 2, 1940 to Lyle and Grace Flavin in Minneapolis, MN. Denny had an older brother Thomas "Tom" who lived in Augusta, GA. When Denny's folks divorced, the boys lived with their mother for awhile and then later moved back with their dad and step-mother (Glennie). Denny lived with them until he was 19 years old and then was "born married" to Sharon Lee Harrington. As a couple they lived in Minneapolis, MN and Bloomington, MN. Denny worked for State of Minnesota Department of Transportation for 40 years. After retirement they moved to Webster, WI. Denny drew up plans for a new home that they built on Viola Lake. Denny and Sharon liked to travel when his health permitted and enjoyed Florida. He enjoyed being on the lake fishing and snowmobiling and was never opposed to having friends over to party a little. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom in 2008. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon, sister-in-law, Mitzi Flavin, 2 nephews and niece and their families. A Time of Gathering will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 10:00-12:00 pm at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren, WI. Memorials are preferred to the Heart Association.
