DelRoy L. "Baldy" Doriott, age 83, a resident of Webster, WI., passed away at home with his loved ones by his side on October 20, 2024.
Baldy was born and raised in Webster, WI, Baldy was a proud veteran of United States Air Force. After the Air Force Baldy spent time logging, traveling the country building racquetball courts and as the owner of the Lone Pine tavern. His precise nature and attention to detail eventually led him to Horton MFG (Nexen) in 1982, where he was employed as a machinist and later on at Botanical Oils. His precise nature also carried over into all aspects of his life. One of Baldy’s favorite mottos was “Be a job both big or small, Do it well or not at all.” Baldy truly lived this motto! Whether it was a simple project in the garage or dressing up for a party, you could count on it being done right. This trait was never more obvious though than how deeply he loved his wife of nearly 40 years, Donna (who he affectionately referred to as “Muffy”). The two of them enjoyed time travelling, entertaining guests and just spending time alone with each other. Baldy also loved spending time with his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and close friends. He absolutely cherished every single minute of quality time he could spend with them.
Baldy was loyal to his family and friends and also to his country. Every 4th of July that patriotism would shine through as he watched the parade with friends and family in front of his home, dressed in his Red, White & Blue. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors ice fishing in the winters and harvesting wild rice (“ricing”) in the fall. Deer season was probably the most special to him though. Not so much for the hunting itself, but more so for the camaraderie and time spent with his hunting crew of which he was their leader.
Baldy is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Mildred Doriott; children, Debbie and Donnie Doriott; stepchildren, Danette Burrow and Kelly Spears; granddaughter, Fawn Pardun; siblings Eugene Doriott and Marlene Halonie.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Donna; children, Kimberly (Jerry) Stypula, Denise (Bill) Lunsman, Dale (Cheryl) Doriott; stepchildren, Todd (Lisa) Helm, Butch Helm, Chad (Wendy) Imme, Darlene (Kevin) Schmidt, Darla Yanni, Heidi (Mark) Mace; siblings, Teresa (John) McCain, Jeanette (Walt) Hughes, Dennis Doriott, Melanie (Larry) Schowalter, Julie (Mike) Westerdahl; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
