DelRoy G. Christenson passed away on December 22, 2020 at the age of 85.
DelRoy G. Christenson was born on December 1, 1935 at home to Clarence and Mable Christenson in the Bass Lake Area. He was the third of four children. He went to elementary school at Grettum School and graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1954.
DelRoy worked on the family farm for most of his life and drove school bus for quite some time. After selling the milk cows, DelRoy continued to raise beef cattle while working at Parker-Hannifin for over 20 years. DelRoy loved to cut wood. He kept cutting right up until he moved into the Continuing Care Center at Burnett Medical Center. He was also an avid hunter and snowmobiler.
He was preceded in death by both parents, brother Kermit, brother-in-law Jerry Johnson and grandson Ian Fossum.
DelRoy is survived by his wife; Sharon and two stepchildren; Michelle (Jeremy) Nauss and Mike (Ibby) Moritz, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Vernon (Pat) Christenson, sister Elsie (late Jerry) Johnson, and sister-in-law Janice (late Kermit) Christenson. He had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on June 6, 2021 at American Legion in Grantsburg from 1:00 to 3:00 PM
