Debra Kathleen Gloege RN - 69 - a long time resident of Webster, WI passed away on
September 15th in Minneapolis surrounded by family.
You might have know her as Deb, Debra Kay, Debbie or D.K. To her Mom she was always Kay.
She was born November 13th 1954 to Richard (Dick) and Teresa Gloege (Heller). They lived in
the cities and spent most weekends “at the cabin” in Danbury township. After graduating in 1972
Deb started her nursing career. In the late 1980’s she had the opportunity to move to “The Lake”
outside of Webster and live full time in the place she loved.
Working as a nurse exposed her to many different aspects of the industry and allowed her to
connect with so many people in her community. She loved helping people and when she was
not working she enjoyed crystals, cats, the beauty at Crex Meadows and of course taking a ride
in the pontoon around the lake.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James Ptak, little sister Jeanice Braun, a nephew,
two nieces and many cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Webster Community Center in Webster, WI on November 9th between 2:00 - 5:00 PM. At 3:00 PM there will be time to share stories and celebrate the life of Debra Kay.
