David Schmidt

David Schmidt , age 53, of Frederic, WI, passed away on October 10, 2017 after a tough battle from cancer. David was born to Louie and Rita Schmidt on January 1, 1964. He was raised on the family dairy farm, where he remained farming for his entire life in Frederic. David was a loveable, generous, humble and friendly person who had a huge heart. He truly loved everyone around him. He loved the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and running his hounds. David leaves behind to morn his best friend and soul mate, Lisa Phernetton; his cherished sons and greatest hunting partners, Randy (Dena) Schmidt, Brandon Schmidt, and their mother, Robyn Schmidt; parents, Louie and Rita Schmidt, granddaughters: Jaxyn, Ella and Raya Schmidt; sisters, Kim (Paul) Simonsen and Amy (Dale) Jensen; honorary step-children, Abigail (Zakk) Brightbill and Brock Phernetton; honorary in-laws, Bob and Sue Houston; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 2:00-6:00pm (time of sharing at 4:00pm) at the Indian Creek American Legion Post 396 in Frederic, WI. Music and social will follow the gathering.  In honor of David, the family has requested those in attendance to wear camo attire.
