Darlene D. Lehman, age 74, a resident of Grantsburg passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024.
Darlene was born on May 26, 1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Lawrence J. and Marie B. Rennie. She attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated in 1967 from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. She was employed as a legal secretary for 10 years and a payroll administrator for over 34 years. She lived most of her life in the St. Cloud where she married her husband, Gordon Lehman in 1993. They then relocated to the Grantsburg area that same year. She retired from Pan-O-Gold Baking, Co in 2012. Over the course of several years, she and husband, Gordy traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada. She enjoyed sharing her love of music by playing the concertina and the accordion for family gatherings, events, nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Her other interests included sewing, crocheting, knitting and quilting. She was known to donate many of her finished items.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Gordy; stepdaughters, Michelle (Boyd) Young and Traci (Jay) Portwood; 2 step grandchildren, Amelia Portwood and Cole Young; brother, Ronald (Mary Ann “Sparry”) Rennie; nieces, Lisa (Steve) Collins and Rhonda (Joe) Pohl; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10-11 AM) at Cushing Lutheran Church with Pastor Tamra Harder officiating.
