Darlene Kay Bunting, age 69, of Grantsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Darlene was born in Minneapolis, MN, on October 28, 1945, a daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Thorpe) Erickson. She attended local schools in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School. On November 20, 1964, Darlene married Jack Willis Bunting, Jr. in Minneapolis. Darlene loved her family very much and treasured the time she spent with each one of them. She was a happy person, had a unique inner strength, and never complained about anything. She also enjoyed reading and fishing. Preceding her in death are her parents, Roy and Edna Erickson; brother-in-law, Dennis Larson; niece, Lori Larson; nephew, David Larson; and great-grandson, Oaklee James Keezer. Darlene is survived by her husband, Jack W. Bunting, Jr.; children: Jack (Shelly) Bunting, Jodi (Darryl) Bunting Keezer, and Scott (Sue) Bunting; grandchildren: Dominic Keezer, Donald Hartman, Aubrey Keezer, Braedon Bunting, Tiana Keezer, Spencer Bunting, Noah Bunting, Simon Bunting, Sadye Bunting, and Dylan Keezer; and a great-grandchild: Ryker Oaklee Keezer. She is also survived by a brother, Bob (MaryAnne) Erickson; a sister, Dorothy Larson, and nieces and nephews. The memorial service honoring the life of Darlene Kay Bunting will be conducted at 7:00 pm (visitation 5:00 to 7:00 pm), Monday, April 27, 2015, at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg Chapel with Pastor George Selbher officiating.
